'Four years after winning several art competitions as a student at Oxford University, Efthimios Hamawi started creating Goddess paintings in 2005, as the result of a spiritual awakening.
His paintings come not from his formal training but from a direct experience of the spiritual realms. |
Angels, goddesses and other beings in the universe guide him to create representations of their form. The paint itself is imbued with their energy as they pass through him onto the canvas.
Efthimios also likes to add the power of sacred geometries to his paintings. These are not just beautiful shapes and designs, they are consciousness raising tools. They will clear your life and home of all negative energy and fill it with love, light and help you realise your own connection with the universe.
Having sold every single painting to date his works are highly prized and are increasing in value fast. Now is a great opportunity to buy his paintings at an affordable price.
Before I start painting I look a the blank canvas. If you really look at blank canvas closely, it is tremendoulsy beautiful in its own right. The soft, white, gentle texture glows with potential. I stay there for a while, meditating in the canvas' presence. I slowly start to feel a colour and I put it on a brush. I then let the painting paint itself. I do not see them as my creations, rather, I am a co-creator with the energies that wish to be shown.
Sometimes these energies come in the form of specific deities and beings, other times it is just an emotion wanting to be expressed. It can take layer after layer of colours and sacred geometries, all on top of each other, so that the right energy foundations can be created before the final image appears.
I do commissions of all kinds and can recreate my previous paintings, however if you want the best result I need flexibility to deviate slightly from the original so that the new potentials can be expressed. You can see an example of a commission with Mermaids II that was commissioned after a client saw the sold piece, Mermaids I.
